I spent some time at a ranch last weekend, just sitting outside and enjoying the fall scenery. I loved staring at the tress, the way they hovered over the pond, and waved their brightly colored leaves. Fall is absolutely my favorite time of the year! I think it's because I love watching the leaves change. Anyone who has known me very long, knows that I have always been drawn to leaves. I collected them for a few years in college. It was fascinating to me that you could find so many different kinds and colors, and that you could smash them in a book and preserve them for life. Now, I have a whole wall of framed leaves, and would add more if I thought it wouldn't make Ted crazy. There is something magical about them. They appear on the limbs of an ordinary tree...and suddenly that tree is no longer ordinary. It's like God reached down with His paintbrush, and splashed His watercolors, at all the right places. Whenever I hang one on my wall, I get this prideful joy out of it...like I just put up a God original. I love it!

Take it, or Leave it!
