Ted and I were really thankful for the chance to get away and spend time with each other, and with our sweet friends. We went to the aquarium, the beach, the swimming pool, ate at lots of yummy restaurants, and stayed up late to talk. Amy and I joked that after 6 days, we really only had about 2 full conversations. The babies kept us very busy, but it was definitely worth it. I loved watching my friend put her mommy skills into action. At this point, I really can't imagine caring for a 2 year old, while taking care of a baby. I'm sure one day I'll get to experience that, but right now, I'm thankful to be a mom of one. Amy is a hero to me! I hope I can handle that role half as well as she does.
Chad made an impression on me as well....literally. He is a dentist/protholodontist (I hope I spelled that right), and has his own practice now. He made whitening plates for me. His hygienist also cleaned my teeth, which hadn't been cleaned in over 3 years...not an easy task. It took 3 visits to his office to get my pearlies white again. I was sad to find out that I had my first cavity...yuck, but I was in good hands. Chad did a great job, so professional, so smooth, so knowledgeable. I got up from the chair of torture and said, "Well, you really can do this stuff....ok, see you tonight at dinner"...that was kinda cool.
So, here are some fun pics from our trip (in no particular order), and an acronym in honor of our first FAMILY VACATION:

WE loved having y'all. Please come again. Next time please cut me out of your pictures. You can see the pain on my face inflicted by my braces. We hope to see you at the end of the month in Dallas.
All I can say is - Go Cardinals. Love the hat baby. Why no pictures of windsurfing? Or attempting to windsurf?
Well...unfortunately, we don't have pics of the wind-surfing expedition. I am usually the one taking the pics, and I wasn't there. I'm not even positive it happened. :)
