Thankful....

We had a really great weekend with the family in Bournie, Texas. My cousin was getting married there, so we decided to make a trip of it. We stayed in a little lake house at Canyon Lake with my brother's family and my parents. Neither of the kids slept well, and Ted got a little sick, but we enjoyed it anyway. It felt like a special event because it was our first family road trip with Ryder. We did a dedication ceremony for him on the deck overlooking the lake, which felt sentimental to me because we dedicated Finley at a lake house on Thanksgiving weekend as well. Seems fitting...to surrender to God the two people I'm most thankful for (aside from my hubby). We prayed for him as a family, that he would grow to be a leader, that he would selflessly love others, that God would surround him with trusted companions, and that he would have a passion for Christ. It's hard to imagine my little snuggle bug as a grown up man. So thankful for the journey ahead and for what God has done thus far.
