Today is Thanksgiving, which always brings about a necessary time of reflection. What is it I'm thankful for? I have a really long list of things that God has given me that I don't deserve. I have two cute kids who are healthy, a husband who is faithful, a neat community of friends, a supportive and fun family...etc. I guess the thing that has caught me a little off guard this year, is the time that I have spent with people around my table. Ted and I always thought that moving to the mountains would probably increase our amount of visitors. We love having people stay in our house. It's fun to have mornings drinking coffee and chatting about the weather. We love exploring the area with them and showing off our favorite restuarants. It's also really fun to wind down from a full day with a late night movie, or some random tv series that we have recorded on netflix. We feel really grateful for the time that we get with people, for the conversations, the memories, and the great meals that we have shared. And, those moments have been more than we even anticipated. Today, I'm thankful for the people who have sat around my table (who endured my cooking), and gave us the gift of time.
