"Finney, don't you think the mountains are pretty?"
"Yea, but I wish they had pink and purple sparkles."
"Mom, here are my two fish. One is named Flower and the other is named Thinking About Pigeons."
"I'm gonna grow out of these PJs when I'm a grownup. And, I'll stop playing with toys and watching videos like George. I'll probably know how to take care of Ryder too."
We were watching the sun go down on a quiet afternoon, and Ted was explaining to the kids that the sun needed some rest. Once it disappeared behind the mountains, I was kinda expecting her to quietly whisper, "do it again daddy." Instead, we heard her belt out, "SUN, you have three seconds to wake back up! 1,2,3....(pause). Ok, I'll give you three more seconds!" This went on for awhile until she discovered the sun was not very obedient, and the neighbors were looking at us funny.
