Ryder's Super Bash

I have to admit that I LOVE kid parties.  It's so fun to plan birthday parties for kids because I can be as goofy as I want to be, and know that it will be appreciated.  The best part is watching them run around in excitement and smash their faces into whipped icing cupcakes.  It has to be the greatest pleasure as a parent, to create joyful moments for your kids. This party was fun to plan because it was such a perfect theme for Ryder.  I'm learning so much about how God creates boys to crave action, adventure, and heroism. He already wants to be a hero, zooming around the house pretending to shoot or tackle the "bad guys."  His imagination is so impressive, and incredibly adorable. He has this deeper voice that he uses when the action gets more intense as well as a wide range of sound affects.  I think all boys are born with the ability to make engine sounds and gun shot noises.  It just makes me giddy to watch him play because I love the little boy in him.  I think he really enjoyed the party.  He was a superhero for the remainder of the day, even sleeping in his mask. So fun...thankful for that little boy who continues to amaze and amuse me.
