Finnyisms

Well, she turned one today! In honor of her birthday, I think I should share a few more finnyisms:

-She is a super picky eater. Avacados-nah, mashed potatoes-nah, lasagna in a jar-nah...so, you can imagine how surprised I was when she ate a jar of lamb (I can't believe Gerber makes lamb)...I was gagging, but she loved it. She's got the Greek gene for sure!

-She giggles so much now, especially when she sees an animal. Every animal is a "goggie." I took her to the park the other day, and she had more fun people watching than she did swinging. She just laughed and laughed at every person that walked by, like they were all dressed in clown suits.

-She really likes to be inside of containers or enclosed areas. Her favorite spot in the house is the drawer underneath the oven. She pulls it out herself, crawls in, and sits there while I prepare food. It's really cute...a little strange, but cute.

-It seems like everytime she looks at me, she makes some kind of face with her nose all wrinkled up and one eye closed...I'm not sure what made her start that, but it looks like she is trying to wink, or pretend to be a pirate...one of the two.

-And, like most babies, if I leave her in a room long enough, I usually find that nothing is in it's place anymore. She loves to redecorate.

I can't remember a year of my life that I have laughed this much or thought this much about how deeply thankful I am. She is certainly a gift...a really funny, cute, unique, wild, and beautiful gift!
