Finley's Birthday Party

Waiting for everyone to show up....not her favorite thing.

My sweet little neighbor all dressed up for her first birthday party.

We gave Finley some options of what we could do for her birthday, and a princess party was definitely her number one pick. So, I picked up anything pink and shiney and hung it from my ceiling. The girls came over with their moms in their princess dresses, and enjoyed being girls. It was really fun, even for Ted, who painted all their nails.

When we moved to Colorado, one of my fears is that we wouldn't have anyone to invite to birthday parties. I felt sad for Fin, because as a mom, you want to protect your kids from feeling unloved. I felt amazed when the birthday party arrived and I kept getting responses that people were coming. Looking over these pictures, reminds me that God has been abundantly faithful in this journey. I'm thankful for every cute little princess that walked through our door. And, I'm especially thankful for four years with my own little princess. She is a daily gift.
