Lately, we've had a lot of fun opportunities to connect with people who are special to us. Aunt Chris came for a visit, and so did Grammy and Pappou. I've discovered that both of my kids are inspired to read while sitting next to Pappou on the couch. Can't blame them...looks pretty cozy. Finley is actually reading (or pretending to read) my Bible. Looks like she is focusing on Revelations.

In March, we drove up to Denver to spend a weekend with one of our favorite families. Ted got to celebrate his birthday with steak, homemade cupcakes, and two mountain bike rides with his best buddy, Ryan. I got the chance to catch up with Gayle, and watch a budding relationship between Finley and Wyatt. We are really grateful for the time we got with them, and especially the spinach smoothies and multigrain waffles.

After that, the kids and I left for Dallas to stay with my parents for 10 days. I got to visit with friends who had given birth since our move, and meet 5 new little faces. We also got lots of family time, which was Finney's favorite part of our trip. She still talks about swimming in the pool with her crazy cousins, going to Chucky E Cheese with Nonnie, and doing a fashion show with Claire.
