So, in order to celebrate this new season, a few mom's got together to give our girls a special night. Our heart behind this was to make them feel cherished and celebrated, and to communicate how lucky they are to have each other. It was a really special night with pedicures, pizza, and a scavenger hunt in the rain. Such a great memory! I couldn't be more thankful for these three friends and the journey ahead.

A New Season
When I turned our calendar to August, I just sat there and stared at the days that seem to be approaching like a freight train. Fin's testing for Kindergarten, school ice cream social, first day of class. I am a little bit sad that summer is coming to an end. I just thought it would feel much longer, and that I would be really ready for school to start. Even though I am soooo excited for Fin and this new journey that she is about to begin, it's hard not to feel a sense of loss. She will never understand what this season means to me or to her, and that is probably best. To her, it's a new school, a new set of friends, a step to being a big girl. To me, it's the beginning of her journey away from home, which is both good and hard to accept. I just love her so much and want the world to care for her the same way that I did. I guess that is something that every parent has to surrender.
